2009 winter trip

Day 1 (12/20)
Arrived LAX at near midnight, arriving aunt’s place around 1 AM

Day 2 (12/21): San Diego
La Jolla, old town San Diego

Day 3 (12/22): LA
LA downtown, attended live TV talk show of Jay Leno


W/ Jimmy

Day 1 (12/23): Vancouver (zzZ @ Van Beatty St.)
Arrived Vancouver at noon, waited him for the whole afternoon, window shopping around the airport and chatting with friends through msn
Met Jimmy near 7. Alex came to pick us up at 7:30PM. He is a kind person taking us to buy medicine and sending us home at Beatty St.

Day 2 (12/24): Vancouver (zzZ @ Van Beatty St.)
- having ramen as lunch and coffee afterwards with Alex, went to Stanley Park, Catholic church for a while and having homemade steaks at home with fantastic red wine

Day 3 (12/25): Vancouver(zzZ @ Van Beatty St.)
- McDonalds’ breakfast, China Town lunch, Gas Town, Shushi dinner at home, saw Nine at 9PM

Day 4 (12/26): Vancouver(zzZ @ Van Beatty St.)
- Boxing Day!! Shopping around Robson Street all day from 9AM till 7PM, having hotdog as lunch and Tai food as dinner
Bought a hoody and a beanie in GAP to Jimmy, three customerized t-shits to good friends in Pitt, three wonderful Lush soaps for us!!

Day 5 (12/27): Van → Jasper (zzZ @ Japer Hi Hostel)
(not long, just 800k and spending 10 hrs driving XD)
Took Skytrain to the YVR, rent a Volvo, and went shopping in MEC, buying a jacket, gloves, Goretex pants and a goggle for skiing, Jimmy bought a down jacket and a Patagonia took
Started driving around 3 PM and arrived Jasper Hi hostel at 1:15 AM, having 2 M meals

Day 6 (12/28): Jasper (zzZ @ Mountain Country Bed and Breakfast)
- Maligne Canyon Ice Walk → Banff

Day 7 (12/29): Banff (zzZ @ Mountain Country Bed and Breakfast)
Sunshine snowboarding, steak dinner, window shopping in downtown afterwards

Day 8 (12/30): (Hi Hostel Lake Louise)
Banff Spring Hot Pools, Fairmont Banff Springs→ Lake Louise
Saw deers several times

Day 9 (12/31): (Hi Hostel Lake Louise)
walked around Lake Louise

Day10 (1/1): (zzZ @ Van Beatty St.) back to Vancouver, from 1030PM to 0930PM

Day 11 (1/2): (zzZ @ Vancouver Central hostel)
Took sea bus, North Vancouver, Lonsdale Quay Market

Day 12 (1/3): (zzZ @ Vancouver Central hostel)
Jimmy shopping, 星馬印lunch, English Bay, airport


W/ Alex

Day 1 (1/4): Seattle (zzZ @ Vancouver Central hostel)
Pike market place, Park

Day 2 (1/5): Seattle boathouse → Pittsburgh
